I don’t know what you are going through in this season, however, I do feel impressed that it is a season of surrender. From the many I speak to and hear from, it seems that many of us are going through a season of challenges and waiting, many waiting on unfulfilled dreams.

Some of you may have lost your jobs, your businesses, finances. You may be experiencing turmoil in your relationships or family, broken relationships, deep disappointment in areas that you have been waiting on God to do a miracle. You may be suffering with internal guilt, shame, heaviness, loneliness, experiencing thoughts of “I am forgotten” or wondering why God hasn’t yet moved in your situation.

To find yourself in this particular season is difficult. You may see no light at the end of the tunnel, everything you try and hold on to seems to fall apart. It feels like war has been waged against your life, and no matter how much you pray, press in, fast, the situation seems to get no better, in some cases, worse.

When I reflect on the story of Joseph in Genesis 37, God had given Joseph two dreams yet, Joseph was abandoned & rejected by his brothers, eventually ending up in prison. I imagine what I would have been thinking, being in Josephs position. I believe I would have had thoughts of, the dream God had given me is never going to be fulfilled, how can it be when I’m in prison, so far from every dream God had given me, so far from my destiny.

My limited mind and lack of faith would have offset disappointment, frustration, rage, heaviness, hopelessness, anger, yet, in what appeared to be the furthest place away from his dream, Joseph was so close to his destination, ie, God given dreams being fulfilled. I wonder where you are at? Are you far from the dreams God has placed in your heart?

I believe that in this season, God is wanting our complete surrender. What does that mean? It means to live from a place of “it’s already been done”. If you are believing for a relationship, then believe it has already been done and begin to live like it’s been done! If you are waiting for a breakthrough with your business or a job opportunity, practically do what is required, however submit and surrender this to God and live like it’s already been done.

Some of you may be facing disunity, or false accusation. Again, surrender the situation and people involved and live from a place that “it has been done”. I believe God is after our 100% surrender and 110% dependency on Him. The surrender is not in our words, it’s not in repetitive prayer or fasting (which are important and required), the surrender is in living from a place that “it’s been done”, enjoying

the peace and security you have in God, excited about what is about to take place in your next season. It is practically living in faith, resting in Him Who orchestrates all things for our good. Our surrender is stepping up in faith, believing, living and resting that God will work it out.

If you are going through a difficult season, learn to surrender, submit your challenges, frustrations, fears and live from a place of victory.

Hebrews 11:6 AMP – But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.

  1. Can I just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people need to read this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more popular because you definitely have the gift.
